Hardware
Utilize advanced IoT hardware to capture and analyze all pertinent spatial data with precision.
A key element of our positioning on server infrastructure is the Vicinia Data Gathering Node. It is also the gateway to collect sensory data from all our environmental sensors. Vicinia DGNs provide a robust data infrastructure, bridging BLE to WiFi, with features such as store, aggregate and retransmit. This is essential in critical and industrial environments with potentially intermittent communication.
Vicinia beacons are small battery powered devices that are affixed sparsely to the wall or ceiling within the building to facilitate positioning on devices. Beacons regularly emit Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) broadcast signals in particular format. While BLE beacons are often used for proximity detection in industry, Vicinia exploits these signals in sophisticated ways within its indoor positioning engine for accurate positioning. Vicinia provides its own beacons and also supports industry standard third party beacons. The battery usage is limited and so a beacon runs for two years or more on a single battery.
Vicinia Smart Wristbands and Keyrings are useful for tracking of personnel in an industrial complex, or patients in a hospital or care facility. They communicate with Vicinia Data Gathering Nodes installed in the building to locate the user. When combined with Vicinia Alarms and Analytics, it enables an array of applications in safety, security, regulatory compliance, and business process optimization. Vicinia Smart Wristbands and Keyrings come with longlife replaceable or rechargeable batteries.
It is typical in certain businesses for the staff to carry personnel cards, often for the purpose of access control. Vicinia Smart Personnel Card provides that functionality and a real-time positioning capability. It is waterproof, and equipped with a battery that runs for more than three years. It also features a distress button for safety and security applications. The cards communicate to Vicinia Data Gathering Nodes installed within the building, and support BLE and NFC standards.
Vicinia Asset Tags can be affixed to assets and equipment that are to be tracked and located indoors. The tags communicate to Vicinia Data Gathering Nodes installed within the building that facilitate a scalable data infrastructure for Vicinia positioning on server technology. The tags are part of Vicinia Assets solution which enables smart asset management, live inventory management, theft protection and data-driven business process engineering and optimization. The tags run on BLE, and are equipped with longlife replaceable batteries, a buzzer and temperature sensor.
Vicinia environmental sensors measure temperature, humidity, vibration, and luminance and communicate them wirelessly to our IoT platform through the DGNs. Depending on the type of business, environmental sensors facilitate an array of applications. For example, they help monitor storage conditions of goods in a factory or a hospital, or the usage of different spaces in a business building. Vicinia environmental sensors run on BLE. Vicinia IoT platform accommodates third-party sensors.
